Honolulu Pen Women 2008 Writers' Conference

"Writing Beyond Boundaries"

Our 2008 Biennial Writers' Conference, "Writing Beyond Boundaries," was a great success! Held at Punahou School 's Mamiya Science Center on A pril 18-19 th , it featured author Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston as keynote speaker.

With over 125 attendees, the conference featured workshops by many well-known writers, including Y York, Deborah Turrell A tkinson, Margaret South, Rita A riyoshi, James Rumford, Craig Howes, Victoria Nalani Kneubuhl, Kealoha, David Choo, Stephen Little, and a Getting Published Panel.

Master Workshop sessions were by Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston (Memoir Into Fiction) and music legend Eddie Kamae (Talk Story to Get the Story).
