FEATURED SPEAKER: Patricia Wood “Having a Vision for Your Book”

Patricia Wood's writing career has risen with the recent success of Lottery, a funny, poignant, and wise novel about a very rich underdog who shows everyone just how little his IQ says about his smarts.   She will discuss creating a vision for your work, implementing literary strategies to achieve that vision, and how working with her agent and publisher helped her clarify and distil her ideas.  She says the ultimate question is: “What is your book about and why did you write it?”  Patricia was short-listed for the distinguished 2008 Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction.
