ART EXHIBIT PROSPECTUS

Click HERE for PDF file of Art Show rules and application.

NLAPW Honolulu Branch Art members are invited to enter up to 3 pieces of original art created independently within the past two years and not previously shown in any NLAPW show. Members are assured that at least one piece will be accepted, and hopefully more, but that will be left to the juror’s discretion. All media will be considered including 2D, 3D, and computer art. Collages using imagery from published sources must be significantly altered to create an original work. No mass produced reproductions of any kind will be accepted. The Art Committee reserves the right to reject work for content due to the nature of this venue. Copyrighted or published photos in collages, nudes, and pornography will not be accepted. All 2D art must be professionally framed with securely attached hanger wires (no thin fishing line, please!) and will be attached to hooks on the wall. A limited number of pedestals will be available for 3D art but the stands do not have covers so if your work is small and expensive it might not be appropriate for this venue.

Although care will be taken by NLAPW Art Committee and the Honolulu Country Club, none can assume responsibility for loss or damage. Submission of work to this exhibit shall constitute agreement. No commission will be levied on sold work. Sales are to be handled by individual artists and all work must remain until the end of the show unless otherwise agreed to by the Art Chairs. Please provide a biography along with your entries.

Artists, start your motors! Your co-art chairs have been very busy garnering numerous prizes this year - both in cash and merchandise awards. Also new this year will be the inaugural presentation of the
“Gloria Foss Award of Excellence in Oil Painting and Mixed Media”.
