"METAMORPHOSIS"
NATIONAL LEAGUE OF AMERICAN PEN WOMEN BIENNIAL ART SHOW
May 20 - July 15, 2007
JUROR: MARCIA MORSE
The Honolulu Country Club, 1690 Ala Puumalu ( Salt Lake ), Honolulu
CALL FOR ENTRIES
NLAPW Honolulu Branch members are invited to enter up to three pieces of original art created independently within the past two years and not previously shown in any NLAPW show. Members are assured that at least one piece will be accepted and more may be accepted at the discretion of the juror. All media will be considered including 2D, 3D and computer art. Collages using images from published sources must be significantly altered to create an original work. No mass produced reproductions of any kind will be accepted. The Art Committee reserves the right to reject work for content due to the nature of this venue. Copyrighted or published photos in collages, nudes and pornography will not be accepted. All 2D art must be professionally framed with securely attached hanger wires (no thin fishing line please) and will be attached to hooks on the wall. A limited number of pedestals will be available for 3D art but the stands do not have covers so if your work is small and expensive it might not be appropriate for this venue.
NLAPW members who took part in the Art workshop "Word Play" at Ho'omaluhia may enter the artworks created at the workshop for a charge of $10 per piece. These pieces will not be subject to jurying or receiving prizes and are not included in the three entry limit of regular artwork. We will try to display all these playful paintings and poems together on one wall.
Although care will be taken by the NLAPW Art Committee and the Honolulu Country Club, none can assume responsibility for loss or damage. Submission of work to this exhibit shall constitute agreement. Sales are to be handled by the individual artists and all work must remain until the end of the show. Please provide a biography along with your entries.
