Topic: A MEETING of REMARKABLE WOMEN... YES, US....

Jeannette Paulson, our September speaker, has been invited to a reception in Fiji for the opening of THE LAND HAS EYES! Not only that but THE LAND HAS EYES has been nominated by the government to represent Fiji in the Academy Award competition for "Best Foreign Language Film"! The opening in Fiji is September 8th, which conflicts with our meeting. Jeanette sent her "giant apologies and Aloha." While disappointing, this is what we all wish for each other and ourselves: recognition of our life work. Best wishes to Jeanette!

The other good news is that instead of a speaker, the September luncheon will be dedicated to all of us. We shall spend the speakers time meeting and greeting and chatting with each other! If you have a pet project you wish to talk about, or a new pet, human or otherwise in your life, let's hear about it. After three months of summer there should be lots to share!

Payment is expected at the time of reservation:

$18 for Pen Women, Friends, and their Guests with reservations made by the deadline.
$20 for Visitors with reservations made by the deadline
$20 for anyone paying at the door without reservation.
Note: We can and will do our best to accommodate you without a reservation, however, we cannot guarantee your meal choice.
